About DaDao: Bridging China and the World

A New Channel Company DaDao Study in China is the flagship international arm of New Channel International Education Group (NCIEG). Building on over two decades of educational excellence under the leadership of distinguished educator Professor Hu Min, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between global learners and China’s top academic opportunities.
At DaDao, we believe that education is not a one-way street—it is a "Two-Way Journey". We don't just help you apply to a university; we empower you to understand China, master its language, and thrive in one of the world's most dynamic academic and cultural environments.

Meet Our Visionaries

Min Hu

Member of the National Steering Committee for Professional Degree Graduate Education in International Chinese Language Education.

Director of DaDao Chinese Academy

Professor Min Hu is a distinguished scholar and visionary educator in international Chinese education, who has long been dedicated to advancing the global teaching and learning of Chinese and promoting understanding of Chinese culture worldwide.

As a member of this national steering committee, Professor Hu has played an active role in shaping the national framework for international Chinese education, including top-level policy design, the formulation of talent cultivation standards, and the construction of disciplinary systems. He also serves as an off-campus postgraduate supervisor at Peking University, a research fellow at the Institute of Sinology, Waseda University (Japan), and an adjunct professor at the Education University of Hong Kong. His academic influence extends across China and beyond, building a solid bridge for the global development of Chinese education.

Professor Hu firmly believes that language is the foundation of cultural exchange and that telling China’s stories is the most effective way to share its culture with the world. Since 2017, he has creatively edited influential book series such as “Telling Chinese Stories in English” and “China in Stories”. He has planned and published bilingual recitation editions of Chinese classics, including The Analects of Confucius and Tao Te Ching. These works have provided global learners with high-quality content that integrates language acquisition with deep cultural appreciation.

To translate ideas into action, Professor Hu co-initiated the “Storytelling China in English Competition” in 2020, in collaboration with the China National Innovation and Development Strategy Research Association and China Education Television. Held annually for five consecutive years, this competition has had a far-reaching influence both domestically and internationally, becoming a landmark event that encourages young people around the world to share Chinese culture in a global language.

Beyond his practical achievements, Professor Hu is also a pioneering theorist. His monograph Global Competence: Core Competencies of Adolescents for the Future is the first systematic work in China to explore the educational concept of global competence. The framework he proposed has offered valuable guidance for international Chinese education, emphasizing that true Chinese learning should go beyond linguistic mastery to cultivate globally minded young people with the vision and ability to engage in meaningful cross-cultural dialogue—future ambassadors of cultural exchange.
